Spring is in the air, and that usually prompts people to start to spring clean. We all love to do it, and we all hate to do it. You may not think of it, but now is an excellent time to take stock of your marketing practices and give the ole plan a dusting. I have come up with three simple things you can do to give your marketing plan a spring cleaning. Are you ready? Excellent! Let’s go.
YOUR CONTENT / SOCIAL MEDIA
When is the last time you posted on your Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter accounts? Depending on the type of business that you run, you should be posting a few times a week. Additionally, depending on the PLATFORM you are using, it is highly possible that you should be posting a few times a DAY.
How about your blog? “Wait, my what?” Yep, you should be putting out content via your blog. It is a great way to get traffic, and it keeps your business fresh in peoples minds. Plus, Google loves it.
So, hop on over to your social media platforms and your blog to make sure you are putting out new content! Your business will thank you for it.
YOUR INFORMATION / BIO
This one is easy. Check to make sure that all of your information is up to date. Has your address changed? Have you added a service? While you’re there, make sure that all of your links work and point to where they should be pointing. Don’t make potential clients or customers work too hard to find you.
When is the last time you sent out a newsletter to your email list? If you cannot remember, chances are it is time to send one. Not everyone is hanging out on social media or your website. Nurture your clients and customers, check in on them, keep them updated on what is happening with you and your business, and you will stay at the forefront of their mind.
These are just a few things you can do this spring to dust off your overall marketing plan.
Keeping even these three items up to date and dusted off will give you a good start.
